Quilt Show Treasure Chest Sewing Parties
Join fellow quilters to make the Prairie Point Trivets. Bring a lunch and materials as specified at Prairie Point Trivet Pattern as well as an iron and small travel iron board. If you want to come and work on your own project to donate, that’s fine too. We have enough PJ bottoms so we’ll use the 11/20 QTYW venue at to make more trivets. Quilt Sleeve Party
Do you just hate to sew on those sleeves? Do the directions for making sleeves put you off? Never fear. It is easier than you think. Its just a big tube but those of you who do not do a lot of handwork may appreciate having a bit of help. Bring a piece of fabric as long as your quilt is wide and about 8.5 inches deep. It does not have to be expensive fabric; muslin or an old sheet will be fine. A sewing machine will be there for making the tube. Join us for a few laughs at stories told by fellow quilters and get help putting on those dreaded sleeves.
