Activities and Demos
Bed Turnings of antique quilts from the San Jose Museum of Quilts and Textiles will occur at 12:30 PM and 2:00 PM each day.
There will be demonstrations at various times during the weekend on hand and machine appliqué, hand and machine piecing, hand and machine quilting and easy binding.
An I Spy game will be available for children to find special effects among the quilts on exhibit. At the completion of the game, the child turns in the form to the entry table and wins a prize.
An important activity of SCVQA, a non-profit 503 (c) 3 corporation, is community outreach through Philanthropy projects. The Philanthropy exhibit includes information about philanthropic services provided by the organization and an opportunity for attendees to learn to tie quilts.
